Biodiversity and Human Health - A State of Knowledge Review
As part of their joint programme of work formally established in 2010, the Secretariat of the UN Convention on Bioloical Diversty (CBD) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have been working in partnership to develop a detailed assessment of the evidence base for linkages between biodiversity and human health The result of this assessment is a detailed State of Knowledge Review which has been prepared in collaboration with a large group of stakeholder organisations and leading international experts, including the COHAB Initiative Secretariat, and which will be published in tme for the 12th Conference of Parties to the CBD which will take place in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea, in early October.
The report will be formally launched at the IUCN World Parks Congress in Sydney, Australia, in November.
The draft text of the report is now open for peer-review by Parties to the CBD and all interested stakeholders.
